Power House!

The Power House is across the street from the old Sears Tower, and was the electrical generation plant for the whole Sears Roebuck catalogue complex.

The WCN project has generously been given permission by its current owners, the Homan Square Foundation, to set up a wireless lab inside.

So Bill and I went exploring and were amazed at what we saw. It’s a huge structure, and besides the large main room and adjacent hall, there are several levels below that provide service access to the infrastructure that was required by the massive generators on the main floor. Simply one of the coolest places around.
